Originally formed in 1999, Farkus (called Adventures Of Tyler at the time) was formed together by Phil Golub, Ralph Drinkwater, and Ari Kaplan during the great depression of the musical era. AOT for short, played many venues, coffee houses, bars, street corners and gazebos, attracting fans from all over by wooing them with strong and energetic shows. In early 2000, Ari parted with the AOT family in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. Phil and Ralph eventually found another drummer named Steve Williams, who recorded one album and performed with AOT until his regretful departure in mid 2000. In late 2000, they found Joe M, a suitable percussionist who fit right into the AOT cubby. After many shows and another full length album (the same album, but re-recorded), Ralph decided to live his life to the fullest as a male escort and resigned his title as the bass player. After trial and error, it took an entire year to find our final permanent member, Mitch Mason. Here is a quick list of the auditioned, in recollected order: Little Joe, Neil, Alex, Brad Pitt lookin' guy, Motorcycle guy (complete with helmet), Little Joe again, Mitch (1st time), Some smelly guy that worked at the DMV. After taking almost 2 years off, the band is now called Farkus and is back in action, performing originals as well as covers throughout the tri-state area.
